Four days, dozens of world-renowned names and thousands of contacts. Mirror Hospitality Expo 2026 confirmed that Bratislava is no longer just a regional stop – it is becoming a place where global trends in gastronomy and bar culture are shaped.
A city where the world meets
The fourth edition of the Mirror Hospitality Expo brought more than 1,200 visitors and 77 leading professionals from 33 countries to Bratislava. Representatives from iconic bars in cities such as Bangkok, Singapore, London and New York shared their know-how with the local community, confirming that Central Europe is no longer just an observer, but an active player on the global stage.
Behind the project are three organisers – Stanislav Harciník, Peter Marcina and Adrián Chrzan – who have long been building a platform that connects industry leaders with the next generation. Jan Chovanec, editor-in-chief of VisitChef magazine, also played a key role this year, hosting the entire two-day programme and helping shape its structure.
The Expo focused on a combination of education, inspiration and networking. It offered a total of 27 seminars and workshops, including a new section, the Cocktail Balance Workshop Room, focused on advanced techniques – from working with enzymes and enhancing flavours to preparing carbonated cocktails. There was also a strong emphasis on young talent: the Mirror Junior Bartender Challenge brought together the best students from the V4 region.
A historic moment and a taste experience
Gastronomy was not left behind. In collaboration with the Gault&Millau guide, a tasting menu was created by chefs Lukáš Heuser, Khanh Ta and Kornél Kaszás, underlining the ambition to connect the world of fine dining with bar culture.
A key milestone of this year’s edition was the launch of the Bartenders’ Choice Awards for the Central and Eastern European region. This respected format, based on voting by industry professionals, gained its own regional platform for the first time – and with it, greater relevance for the local scene.
The atmosphere of the event was further enhanced by Mirror Cocktail Week (3–6 May), during which 33 world-class bars hosted events directly in Bratislava venues. For several days, the city was alive with hospitality of the highest standard – without the need to leave its own borders.
“Our region is no longer just following global trends, but is beginning to define them,” organisers Harciník, Marcina and Chrzan agree. Mirror Hospitality Expo 2026 is thus not just an event, but a clear signal: Bratislava is cementing its position as one of the most interesting spots on the global hospitality scene.
