The Flor de Caña brand is expanding its portfolio in the Czech Republic with Flor de Caña Oro Reserva, which has an alcohol content of 30%. This golden rum from Nicaragua offers a smoother flavour profile, with notes of vanilla, toasted coconut and wood. It is ideal for sipping neat or enjoying in mixed drinks.

Flor de Caña is launching its new Oro Reserva on the Czech market, offering a more accessible take on traditional Nicaraguan rum. With an alcohol content of 30% and a balanced flavour profile, it is aimed not only at rum enthusiasts but also at customers seeking a lighter alternative for home mixology and occasional sipping.

The rum captivates with its golden-amber colour and an aroma of fresh vanilla. The palate brings notes of toasted coconut and wood, complemented by a smooth, dry finish. Ageing in American white oak casks contributes to its character and versatility.

Oro Reserva can be served neat, on the rocks, or mixed with sparkling water, cola or citrus-flavoured soft drinks. On cocktail menus, it features, for example, in the Flor Punch, which combines rum with pineapple and orange juice, lime juice and grenadine.

A family tradition from a volcanic landscape

The history of the Flor de Caña brand dates back to 1890, when its story began in Nicaragua. Over more than 135 years, this family legacy has been passed down through five generations. The rums are produced in an area near the active San Cristóbal volcano, where the tropical climate and mineral-rich soil create specific conditions for production and ageing.

The brand also emphasises its commitment to sustainability. Flor de Caña rums are produced using 100% renewable energy and in line with other principles of responsible production.

“We see Flor de Caña Oro Reserva 30% as a product that can appeal not only to traditional rum drinkers, but also to customers looking for a lighter, easy-to-drink spirit. It is a rum that is well suited to everyday occasions as well as home mixology,” says Filip Větrovský, Marketing Director at Premier Wines & Spirits, a distributor of premium beverages.

Flor de Caña Oro Reserva, with an alcohol content of 30%, is available via the 1er.cz online shop at a recommended price of 265 Kč.
