Andaz Hong Kong Central to debut as part of the landmark Central Crossing development.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans to open the first Andaz hotel in Hong Kong, marking a major milestone for the lifestyle brand. Andaz Hong Kong Central is set to open in 2027 within Central Crossing, a new mixed-use urban landmark at 118 Wellington Street, developed in collaboration with Wing Tai Properties and CSI Properties.

The 125-room hotel will be a vibrant reflection of Hong Kong’s dual identity — where heritage meets modernity, and East meets West. Designed as a “love letter to the city,” the property will celebrate local culture through art, design, and immersive experiences.

At the heart of the hotel will be the Andaz Living Room, a social hub offering all-day refreshments and conversation, alongside a signature restaurant and a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness center. Select premium suites will also double as intimate venues for private gatherings and creative events.

Introducing the First Andaz Village

In addition to the hotel, the project will introduce Andaz Village, a first-of-its-kind retail and lifestyle concept curated around wellbeing, gastronomy, and craftsmanship — home to some of the world’s most intriguing brands. Together, the hotel and village will create a destination that blends luxury with culture, offering new experiences for both locals and travelers.

Voices Behind the Project

“We are honored to be part of this landmark project in the heart of Central, building on our deep roots in Hong Kong since the opening of Hyatt’s first hotel outside the U.S. here in 1969,” said David Udell, Group President, Asia Pacific, Hyatt.

“At Andaz, we aim to draw out the city’s creative currents and reveal its human side — something that Hong Kong has in abundance,” added Amar Lalvani, President & Creative Director of Hyatt’s Lifestyle Group.

Hervé Mazella, Area Vice President of Luxury for Hyatt Asia Pacific and future General Manager of Andaz Hong Kong Central, emphasized his vision:

“Our goal is to make Andaz Hong Kong Central the vibrant soul of Central Crossing — a place that reflects the city’s rich blend of business, art, and culture.”

A New Landmark for Central

Central Crossing will combine premium office spaces, green public areas, and preserved heritage architecture, reinforcing the district’s position as Hong Kong’s creative and commercial nexus. Steps away from Tai Kwun, PMQ, and Central Market, the development connects seamlessly with the city’s transport network, including the MTR and Airport Express.

The opening of Andaz Hong Kong Central will continue Hyatt’s strategic expansion of the Andaz brand across Asia Pacific, following upcoming launches in Shanghai, Bangkok, and Australia’s Gold Coast.
