The popular bar events at Alma kick off the year in style. On January 26, from 20:30 to 23:00, a unique guest shift will feature one of today's most influential bars at Prague's Alma. Lorenzo Querci, the founder and owner of the Milanese bar Moebius, which ranked 7th in The World's 50 Best Bars this year, will personally visit Prague. This marks Moebius' first visit to the Czech Republic, a significant event for the local bar community.

"A Milanese hotspot that blends cocktails, culture, and cuisine." (The World's 50 Best Bars 2025)

This description aptly explains why Moebius is regarded as one of the most intriguing venues on the global bar map. The space functions simultaneously as a cocktail bar, bistro, and cultural center. Located in a converted former textile warehouse in central Milan, the bar combines raw industrial elements, warm wood, and natural materials with a design inspired by the sci-fi surrealism of French illustrator Jean Giraud (known as Moebius). A 700-year-old Andalusian olive tree winds its way through two floors, creating a focal point for the entire place.

Upon entering Moebius, visitors encounter an impressive 3-meter-high display showcasing over 300 labels of various spirits. Guests can take a seat at the bar and embark on a journey full of fresh combinations. The bar also regularly hosts guest shifts from international bartenders, making it worthwhile to keep an eye on their schedule and monthly guest lineup.

At the heart of Moebius is the cocktail bar, run by Giovanni Allario. It offers a seasonal drinks menu that blends culinary techniques with the art of bartending. Popular creations include the Pesto Martini (vodka, white balsamic, house-made pesto), the Peach Vodka Soda (vodka, peach, basil, sparkling water), and the Seed Negroni with pumpkin seeds and cream. The drinks are characterized by an elegant, smooth, and approachable style, perfect for a long night out.

However, Moebius is not just a bar; it also features two distinct dining sections - a casual tapas bistro adjacent to the bar and Moebius Sperimentale, a fine-dining restaurant in a glass-enclosed space on the first floor. This concept combines gastronomy, mixology, and culture into a unified and intense experience that takes the bar beyond the traditional cocktail scene.

Moebius has been one of the fastest-growing bars in recent history within The World's 50 Best Bars, climbing from 38th in 2024 to 7th in 2025 and winning the Nikka Highest Climber Award for the most significant move up the rankings.

Lorenzo Querci's guest appearance at Alma presents a unique opportunity for Prague audiences and industry professionals to sample drinks and concepts directly from the founder of one of the world's most important bars.
