A new product is set to shake up the world of classic bar drinks. Two iconic brands – Absolut and Tabasco – have joined forces to present a spicy vodka that combines the smoothness of Swedish spirit with the characteristic heat of fermented chilli peppers.

The result is a distinctive flavour profile that starts smooth and gradually transitions into a warming, lingering heat. This isn’t heat for its own sake, but a balanced combination built on a simple foundation: red chillies, salt and vinegar on one side, spring water and winter wheat on the other.

This new product is aimed primarily at the bar scene. Classic cocktails such as the Bloody Mary take on sharper contours and a more distinctive character, taking both brunch classics and modern mixology a step further.

The joint product also builds on the strong legacy of both brands. Over a century of history, a focus on craftsmanship and a recognisable identity are reflected in the bottle design, which combines Absolut’s signature apothecary shape with red colouring and graphic elements inspired by Tabasco.

This isn’t just another flavoured vodka. Rather, it’s a sign that the appetite for experimentation is growing even in the premium spirits segment – and that heat has a firm place in contemporary mixology.
