The Pernod Ricard Group has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Mumm American sparkling wine business to Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits, one of the largest family-owned wine producers in the U.S.

The transaction includes the Mumm Napa, Mumm Sparkling California, and DVX brands, as well as the Mumm Napa winery in Rutherford, Napa Valley, and related production and logistics infrastructure. Upon completion of the transfer, Trinchero will assume responsibility for the production, distribution, and sale of these wines in the U.S., Canadian, Mexican, and select Caribbean markets.

The agreement does not affect G.H. Mumm champagne, which remains fully within Pernod Ricard's portfolio and continues to represent one of its key global premium brands. The sale of American sparkling wines is part of Pernod Ricard's long-term strategy to simplify its portfolio and strengthen its focus on premium international spirits and champagne brands.

The transaction is expected to close in spring 2026, subject to the satisfaction of standard regulatory and commercial conditions. For Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits, the acquisition further strengthens its position in the sparkling wine category and expands its portfolio with one of the most recognizable American brands in this segment.
