There are many ways to explore Prague. Few, however, are as playful, sociable, and yet refined as the one offered by the Cesta za bublinou project. It is now entering a new chapter—under the full leadership of Katy Young, who aims to give it an even more personal, vibrant, and contemporary feel.

The Cesta za bublinou project, which in six years has secured a firm place among lovers of wine and extraordinary gastronomic experiences, is undergoing a significant change. Katy Young is taking over its leadership, building on the work of the founders, to whom she pays tribute and expresses her gratitude. At the same time, however, she brings a clear vision for how to further develop and advance the project.

“I am absolutely delighted and feel immense gratitude towards both Kaštánks (Zdeněk and Pavel Kaštánek, ed.), but at the same time I feel a sense of humility about everything that lies ahead,” says Young as she takes over the project. Her approach suggests that it will not merely be a matter of continuity, but also a natural evolution towards a wider audience and new experience formats.

Prague Through Bubbles – Not What You’d Expect

The Journey Through Bubbles has long been built on a simple yet powerful idea: discovering the city through sparkling wines. It is not merely about tastings in the traditional sense. Participants move between selected venues, getting to know their atmosphere, stories, and the people behind the bar—all with the effortless elegance of a glass in hand.

This is precisely where the magic of the project lies: it combines education with natural socialising and discovery. More experienced wine lovers will appreciate the selection of sparkling wines and the context, whilst newcomers will enjoy the relaxed format, which breaks down barriers and introduces the world of bubbles without unnecessary pomp.

From a Gift to a Bespoke Experience

With this new chapter comes an emphasis on broader applications for the project. The Journey Through Bubbles is increasingly emerging as an ideal choice for an original gift—whether for a birthday, anniversary, or wedding. Instead of material items, it offers an experience that brings together taste, the city, and good company.

In addition, the project is also developing significantly in the area of private events. “In recent years, I’ve been doing a lot of team-building events and ladies’ nights,” says Young, outlining the current direction. It is precisely these formats that demonstrate how flexible the Journey Through Bubbles concept is—it can adapt to groups, moods, and specific requirements.

New Website, New Possibilities

Part of the transformation is a new website, which presents the project in a more modern and user-friendly format. Visitors will find not only information about individual routes and events, but also a visual taste of the atmosphere through a video that gives an idea of what they can expect from the experience.

The digital relaunch thus complements the in-person one—and together they lay the foundations for further growth.

What’s Next?

Under the leadership of Katy Young, Cesta za bublinou is moving towards even greater openness and flexibility. It remains true to its core—quality sparkling wines and authentic exploration of venues—whilst also responding to current trends and the needs of its audience.

Whether you’re looking for an unconventional way to explore Prague or want to give the gift of an unforgettable experience, Cesta za bublinou remains one of the most interesting projects at the intersection of gastronomy, wine, and urban culture. Now, with renewed energy, it promises that the best is yet to come.

More information is available on the website or the project’s Instagram profile.
