Letní Letná isn’t just about acrobatics, theatre and evening performances. Right at the heart of the festival action, the Chill & Drink Arena has been set up, where tropical flavours, premium spirits and a relaxed summer atmosphere come together in one place. Enjoy a cocktail made with premium rum, tuck into some fresh pineapple, try your luck at the shooting gallery or have a go at darts. There’s no rush here – it’s all about enjoying yourself.

Letní Letná has a special quality. Just step through the festival gates and the usual hustle and bustle of the city begins to fade away. A contemporary circus unfolds around you, music plays, people sit around enjoying drinks, and the whole place has an atmosphere that makes it worth staying a little longer than you originally planned. And the Chill & Drink Arena fits perfectly into this setting.

It’s the sort of spot where you can pop in for just one drink before the show. But you might just as easily end up staying there all evening.

Tropical flavours in the heart of Letná

The cocktail menu here is based on premium spirits from Planteray and Canerock. And it’s clear that this isn’t just a matter of pouring quality rum into a glass and adding ice. The bartenders craft their cocktails using combinations of tropical fruits, spices, citrus and fresh herbs.

What’s more, the cocktails are created by bartenders from Prague’s leading cocktail bars, who prepare and mix them right at the rum bar, elevating the whole experience to a standard you won’t easily find at a typical festival.

Why not try the Gingerdark, which combines Planteray Original Dark with Fever-Tree Ginger Beer, bitters and lime? The Melonstar, meanwhile, is based on Planteray 3 Stars with lemon, watermelon, cucumber and mint. And if you fancy bolder tropical flavours, the Pinepassion combines Planteray Stiggins’ Pineapple with almond, falernum, mango, passion fruit and lime.

Pineapple plays one of the leading roles here – not just in the cocktails, but visually too. It’s simply part of the tropical atmosphere, and you can even treat yourself to a generous slice of fresh pineapple with your drink. It’s a detail that might seem small, but it’s precisely these little touches that turn an ordinary festival drink into a summer experience.

Barbadian Canerock rum also features on the menu in several forms. You can try it simply on the rocks, but it really comes into its own in cocktails, where its spiciness and distinctive character shine through.

And if you’re after something truly summery, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better choice than the Frozen Colada. It’s available here in three versions – with Planteray Original Dark, with Canerock Slow & Chill, and also in a non-alcoholic version with Sober Spirits R. All feature pineapple, coconut and citrus – a combination that, on a hot festival day, feels almost like a mini Caribbean holiday.

Drinks, games and a bit of competition

But the Chill & Drink Arena isn’t just about what’s in your glass. It’s also a place where things are happening. If you’re feeling competitive, you can head to the shooting range and try your hand at shooting for a rose. And if you’re more into precision than shooting, there’s darts, where you can win one of the prizes on offer. Suddenly, you’ve got another reason to stay for one more drink.

That’s precisely the magic of the whole place. It’s not your typical festival bar where you order a drink and move on. The Chill & Drink Arena is a place to linger. You’ll meet up with friends here, enjoy a tasty treat, have a bit of a competition, and all the while, the Letní Letná festival buzz continues all around you. And as dusk falls, the atmosphere takes on yet another dimension. Colourful lights, music, the buzz of the festival and glasses brimming with tropical flavours all work together surprisingly well.

The good news is that the tropical experience here doesn’t end with alcoholic cocktails. The menu also includes non-alcoholic options.

Alongside the Frozen Colada with Sober Spirits R, you’ll find, for example, the Sober Fire, which combines Sober R, agave, chilli and lime with Fever-Tree Mexican Lime Soda. For lovers of fruitier flavours, there’s the Tropipop, with notes of sour cherry, vanilla, lemon, mango and passion fruit. There’s also a Citadelle-based Gin & Tonic, as well as its non-alcoholic version with Citadelle 0.0. Here, too, the rule holds true: a high-quality, flavourful drink doesn’t necessarily have to contain alcohol.

Letní Letná with a twist

Letní Letná is a festival people go to for an experience. And that doesn’t have to end with the final round of applause in the big top. The Chill & Drink Arena adds another reason to visit the festival, even if you don’t have a specific show in mind. Come for a drink, try something new, enjoy a Frozen Colada, take a bite of fresh pineapple, shoot for a rose or have a go at darts.

Because sometimes the best festival programme is the one you plan once you’re there. And here, it simply starts with a glass of something really good.

The Chill & Drink Arena is open right within the Letní Letná grounds. So do pop in – for a single drink, a round of darts, or even the whole evening.
